z rolls and fights

NAT 20 IN FIGHTS


a NATURAL 20 means it passes any armor class. It also means critical hits (roll damage dice twice).


NAT 20 IN WORLD


a NATURAL 20 in world/out of fights for things like, percpetion or athlectics (skills to interact with the world), character succeed at what they attempt to do but this does not mean other things could stop them or that they can't nessecarily do the most extreme of what they ask, if it does not end up being reasonable/realistic.


NAT 1 IN FIGHTS


Complete fail, no roll for advantage or disadvantage.


NAT 1 IN WORLD


Complete failure, possible consequences for said action.


ADVANTAGE


Roll twice, take higher number


DISADVANTAGE


Roll twice, take lower number. Still roll if nat 20 given.


DEATH SAVING THROWS


If the roll is 10 or higher, you succeed. On your third success, you become stable. On your third failure, you die.


When you make a death saving throw and roll a 1 on the d20, it counts as two failures. If you roll a 20 on the d20, you regain 1 hit point.


If the damage taken while down equals or exceeds your hit point maximum, you suffer instant death


A stable creature doesn't make death saving throws, even though it has 0 hit points, but it does remain unconscious. The creature stops being stable, and must start making death saving throws again, if it takes any damage. A stable creature that isn't healed regains 1 hit point after 1d4 hours


HIDING IN FIGHTS


you can't hide if anyone can see you clearly, you make a Dexterity (Stealth) check against the passive Perception score of anyone that might notice you, you have to stay quiet, you can't move out into the open, etc. You remain hidden until you reveal yourself (attack) or someone finds you.


Search is an action. Depending on the nature of your search, the DM might have you make a Wisdom (Perception) check or an Intelligence (Investigation) check.


DISENGAGE IN FIGHTS


you move and do not provote oppurtunity attacks


SUPERIORTY DICE


a d8 that is expended for a fight manouver. default 4, 1 is added at level 7.
